(More customer reviews)Tried ordering the base unit from Amazon, they couldn't get it. Ordered online from another company, then found it cheaper at my local Target. Nice phone for my elderly mother - hearing assist, lighted keypad, big keys, lightweight. My mom has trouble putting receiver exactly on her ear - this could be better (like the old landline phones!), but there is an identation that helps, more than on most portables. Also, the base unit can work without power, a key feature for us with frequent power outages. We've tried many phones, this seems the best. We have the base (which comes with one handset) and this extra handset so that she can always carry one with her.
