I have 3 cordless handsets and I charged the batteries one at a time, being sure to keep the charging phone out of use until each battery was fully charged the first time. Since then I have rarely seen any of the three handsets below a full charge. I was skeptical about these batteries because they were half the price every other battery I found, but I am pleasantly surprised and glad I took the chance.

Phones using this relatively small battery are handicapped by its relatively small size (AAA vs. AA cell size in many phones.) This is a design issue with the phones. So, good quality is important. I bought two of these, for two Uniden handsets, and have been using them for about a month. I use the phone heavily, and the battery lasts all day. My last replacement battery, in comparison, was purchased at a famous big box retailer. By one month, the batteries were already needing to be recharged at some point during the day. Considering these were approximately twice as expensive as the batteries I am reviewing here, in my opinion, these represent an excellent value. I would highly recommend them.

The connection does fit my GE model 25951 phone, but it rattles around in it. I have to admit that I didn't pay close attention to the size/wt when I bought it. I assumed (oops)that if it said fit my phone, it actually fit my phone. However, it's a bit distracting when you hear the battery sliding around in the phone.

Energizer Er-P511 Replaces Panasonic P-P511Y Review

(More customer reviews)Having considered dumping my four Panasonic phones just because the batteries continued to recharge poorly and not last long when recharged, I am very happy to find that my 'last chance' change to the Energizer appears to be a great improvement! And they have saved me the cost of buying a new phone system so they are a bargain as well!
At this point I have two of my four Panasonic phones using the new Energizer batteries. The results are clearly better. First, the extra amperage (Energizers pack 1200mA vs. the Panasonic 850mA batteries) definitely translates into longer talk time between charges. No comparison, at least in our experience. And the better battery technology (Energizer NiMH vs. Panasonic's memory-effect-prone NiCad) does charge up fully every time.
As a completely unexpected and added bonus that I cannot explain, the range of the phones is better! Maybe it is the extra amperage - I do not know - but the very same phone in the very same room where I ALWAYS had static and poor reception is now perfectly clear using the Energizer battery! Now that is a very nice plus, especially since this is in my home office!
So I highly recommend trying these before you give up and toss your phones out like I was about to do! If your experience is like mine, you just may like your Panasonic phone again!
