Sony MDR-RF925RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone Review

Sony MDR-RF925RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone
Average Reviews:

I can't believe that I haven't found reviews for this product! I got a system so my wife could listen to the TV while watching in bed and not have the sound disturb others. I got this one because -1- it is RF as opposed to infrared so if she goes into another room she can still hear the sound, -2- has "drop-in" inductive charging of the rechargeable batteries as opposed to teeny-tiny contacts, -3- is from a well-known manufacturer as opposed to some off-brand, -4- it had switch-able frequencies to diminish the chance of interference with other 900MHz devices (I had to look at Sony's website for that), -5- the price is reasonable because of the quality reputation of Sony, and -6- it was available from [...] as opposed to some fly-by night company.
I was very pleased to find that it had arrived with the right cable (mini stereo to RCA L&R plugs) AND it works with devices that have RCA jacks OR mini stereo jacks because the transmitter has both types! We are fortunate that the TV has a headphone jack (unusual for the size of the tube) and it cuts off the TV speaker.
The sound in the headphones is amazing - so much better than sound from the speakers in any of the TVs in the house. I may get some of these instead of a surround-sound system for the family room.

I bought this for use with my Sony camcorder. I chose it because it was a 900 MHz system rather than the 100 MHz systems from Hysonic, etc. The included lapel mike is not very good. Lots of distortion and very cheaply made. I tried a better quality Radio Shack lapel mike, #33-3013 and got much better results. Compared to putting the mike right into the camcorder, the wireless transmitter shows considerably more noise and lower sound level. No noticeable difference in frequency response, at least for voice recording. Dropouts started occuring when I was about 50 feet away. Bottom line is this isn't broadcast quality but certainly adequate for amateur use.

Sony Cycle Energy 800 mAh Pre-Charged AAA Rechargeable Batteries Review

Sony Cycle Energy 800 mAh Pre-Charged AAA Rechargeable Batteries
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For many years, rechargeable batteries (AAA, AA, C, D) have been very disappointing because they "self-discharge" in a week or two while waiting to be used (or sitting on a store shelf). That's why you must always charge new batteries before using them.
These new Sony batteries finally solve the problem. They self-discharge very slowly, keeping 90% of their charge after a year of storage. I have been using several AAA and AA Sony rechargeable batteries for a month now, and am very pleased and impressed. I only wish that C and D cells were available.

Sony Rechargeable AAA 900 mAh NiMH Batteries, 4 Pack Review

Sony Rechargeable AAA 900 mAh NiMH Batteries, 4 Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Concise: I purchased 3 packs of these 900 mAh NiMH AAA batteries by Sony. All 12 batteries behave similarly, but none of the 12 come close to 900 mAh. The average is 690 mAh, with the minimum being 634 mAh and the maximum being 732 mAh.
Detail: For my testing, I used two battery analyzers, both Powerex MAHA MHC9000. All batteries weee used on each analyzer in turn. Before any battery usage, all batteries were put through the new battery conditioning routine, using the slowest possible charge and discharge rates (200 mAh charge, 100 mAh discharge) with the analyzer set to the batteries advertised capacity, 900 mAh. This routine took days to complete. After this, each battery was discharged (slow rate). The mAh ratings was recorded for each battery. Following this, each battery was charged (slow rate), allowed to rest for 24 hours and then discharged (slow rate). This cycle was done three times for each battery.
Results: After initial break-in and initial discharge, the batteries averaged 678 mAh, low 534 mAh, high 711 mAh. After the second discharge: average 685 mAh, low 632 mAh, high 734 mAh. After the third discharge: average 686 mAh, low 634 mAh, high 732 mAh.
Conclusion: Typical, but disappointing. These batteries range from actual capacity of 70% of advertised to 81% of advertised. In real-world usage (3 batteries used in my GPS Photo Tracker), the batteries behaved far inferior to Costco Kirkland brand AAA batteries (the really cheap ones). Said another way, my photo tracker turned itself off after less than 8 hours of use, 3 separate times.

Sony MDR-RF960RK 900 MHz RF Wireless Headphones with Auto Tuning Review

Sony MDR-RF960RK 900 MHz RF Wireless Headphones with Auto Tuning
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I wanted a set of wireless headphones to use with my home theater system so that I could watch movies while our baby was asleep. I chose these because they appeared to be the best set that was in stock at Best Buy. Overall, I'd say they are a good set of headphones. It should be noted that no analog wireless headphones will ever sound as good as a comparable set of wired headphones. If you keep this in mind, you won't be as disappointed.
I would like to address some solutions to some of the negative points that were brought up in earlier reviews. If you have problems with these headphones, try reading the instructions. There are many ways to improve your listening experience.
1) Static problems -- If you're plugged into the headphone jack of your receiver and you get static, try turning up the volume on your receiver to the point just before it becomes distorted. Then adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level using the volume control on the headphones. This enables a higher gain signal from the receiver which will override some of the static.
2) Auto Tuning -- Yes, the transmitter does have a channel selector on it, but this does not mean that it's manual tuning. The selector simply sets the range of frequencies you want to use. The headphones themselves have an autotuner built into them which fine tunes the signal. I've found that this works just as advertised.
3) Turning them On and Off -- The off/on switch of these headphones is built into the adjustable head-strap. As long as you're not wearing the headphones (or otherwise engaging the head-strap) then the headphones will be turned off. When not in use, it is best to return the headphones to the charging base. It will automatically stop charging the batteries when they have reached a full charge. The batteries are nickel-metal-hydride (as opposed to Ni-Cad), so you don't have to worry about fully discharging them before charging the batteries to avoid the memory effect.
4) Batteries -- Yes, Sony provides proprietary batteries with these headphones, but if you ever need to replace them, it is not absolutely necessary to use their batteries. The headphones will accept standard AAA batteries; however, in order to be able to recharge the batteries you must use the nickel-metal-hydride variety instead of Ni-Cad.
In summary, these headphones will not disappoint as long as you recognize the limitations of analog wireless, and as long as you read your instruction manual.

Sony MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System Review

Sony MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This review is on the Sony MDR-IF240R not MDR-IF240RK, not sure if there's any difference. I needed a wireless headphone for the bedroom because I watch TV over 2 hours every night while my wife sleeps and about 2 hours early in the morning. I've also owned a wireless Sennheiser HDR60 and a wired Panasonic RP-HT970 Vibration Series Headphone. The Sennheiser worked fine, but their rechargeable battery (two included) would only last me about two days. I always had one recharging so I could swap it out, but it was still annoying to have it cut out in the middle of a program. After a year one of the batteries wouldn't hold a charge any more and when I saw how much a replacement battery cost, I decided to buy the Panasonic. Because it was wired, the Panasonic RP-HT970 sounded great, especially the bass effects with DVD's. It was very comfortable and I would still be using it, if I hadn't tripped on the cable and broke it. It had also been an obstacle for my wife when she had to walk across the room.
I decided to go wireless again and bought the Sony MDR-IF240R after reading reviews. I wanted a headphone that used standard batteries and wouldn't need constant replacing. I have cordless phones and a wireless PC network, so I decided having no interference using infrared was better than having the ability to go room to room using other technology. Since I only used it for TV viewing, I was willing to accept decent, if not great, sound quality. This headphone met all my requirements. I put in one standard AAA battery instead of the rechargeable battery that came with it and I haven't had to change it in over two weeks of constant use (4 hours/day).
The headphones are mostly plastic and look a bit cheap. They are fairly comfortable, but if I tilt my head, they will fall off because the foam cushions are flat rather than cupped like the Sennheiser and the headband is rather flimsy. That would be my biggest complaint. Sony should also have provided a longer cable for the transmitter to allow more flexibility in placement. Sound quality is fine for TV viewing, but it can't compare to the quality of a wired headphone like the Panasonic which makes you feel like you're actually in a movie when played on DVD.
I have perfect reception using it at 12 feet and I've walked 45 degrees to the left and right without any loss. If something comes between the headphone and the transmitter, it will cut out, so positioning is very important. You can eliminate the hiss that others have mentioned, if you turn up the volume on the sound source (e.g. TV or Receiver) rather than turning up the volume control on the headphone. On the Sennheiser there was a tuning control, which I had to fiddle with in order to receive a signal, but the Sony doesn't have or need one.
In conclusion, this headphone met all my expectations, the price was reasonable and I would recommend it to others until someone comes out without something that has better sound quality and excellent battery life.
Sound quality - 4 stars (compared to other wireless)
Battery life - 5 stars
Range - 4 stars
Comfort - 4 stars
Fit and finish - 3 stars
Price - 4 stars

I got fooled by the Sony brand name, thinking this coordless phone would be about the same quality of my Sony TV. Well, it wasn't. It lasted about a month before it just stopped. I replaced it with another brand that cost half the price, and it works just fine . . . threw the Sony in the garbage.
I don't think that Sony even makes these anymore - for good reason!

I am by no means an audiophile, but I was very impressed with these headphone from Sony. As others have said the Bass is by no means deep, but it is acceptable for headphones. Music listening was a joy with these as I was able to move around my house and still be connected (Isn't Bluetooth great). My main reason for getting them was to listen to movies and TV on my desktop and laptop, the pairing was a cinch with both of my computers. The sound quality was very good for both movies and TV, there was also no lag that I noticed between the headphone sound and the actors lips (sometimes happens with wireless things). The fit of these headphones was perfect for my head, they fit snugly but not too tight, they stayed put with movement (Standing, walking, head bobbing to music). Overall I am very happy with these Sony Bluetooth Headphones, I would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice low cost wireless alternative for use with a PC.

Sony SPP-A973 900 MHz Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System Review

Sony SPP-A973 900 MHz Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It takes me longer to learn, I guess...
I wasted my money on a BellSouth phone with Digital answering machine only to find I could understand about 25% of my messages, that I couldn't understand the bizarre electronic 'help' voice, and had virtually no other features.
My new Sony Spp-A973 has (almost) every feature I could want... caller ID, cordless phone (sounds as clear as a regular phone) with tremendous range and a seemingly never-ending battery, clear digital answering machine (again, clear as the best tape machine), a brilliant jog dial to review caller ID calls and place memory calls (no more remembering who 'memory 01' is)...
In a nutshell, this is one of those extremely rare products where I feel like I somehow got twice what I expected for half what I expected to pay.
Two things would make it five stars: the ability to turn off the handset ringer (not just the base), and better handling of 'out-of-area' caller ID. My old box from US West could give me numbers for most out-of-area callers, but I've yet to figure out how to do this with this phone. All you get is 'out-of-area'.
A speakerphone would sure be nice, too, but I'm not ABOUT to complain!

With the Sony SPP-A973, you get digital 900 MHz operation with extended range; thanks to superior transmission technology, you can carry your cordless phone further and still carry on a conversation. Digital privacy uses higher technology to keep your private conversations private, using sophisticated digital speech encoding between handset and base unit. Digital sound quality uses the technology behind the compact disc to achieve amazing voice accuracy; it sounds less like older cordless phones, more like a corded phone.
The 50-number directory dialing gives quick access to a broad range of frequently dialed numbers; for easy reference, each phone number is identified by the person's name. The Jog Dial provides one-finger access to these numbers and to caller ID memories; simply push the button and jog up and down to find the entry you're looking for; push the button again to dial the number.
Caller ID with call waiting (20-call memory) allows you to screen the phone number and name of an incoming second call while you talk with the first caller (requires combination of caller ID and call waiting services). A three-line backlit LCD display on the handset offers clear presentation of caller ID information, number dialed, and more. It's even backlit for easy viewing. Memory Match Ringing sounds a distinctive ring if an incoming call matches one of your 50 directory-dial numbers (requires caller ID service from your local phone company).
The SPP-A973 has dual-battery capability--the base unit has the built-in battery charger where you can charge an optional battery in the base unit. Even with just one battery pack, you get seven hours of talk time and seven days of standby, which allows for longer conversation and longer intervals between charging batteries.
The SPP-A973 includes a tapeless, all-digital answering system that records both your greeting and incoming messages on IC chips; it uses no moving parts, for exceptional reliability; and it can record up to 18 minutes. Incoming messages can be stored in three separate "message boxes" so that each co-worker or family member can access his or her messages separately. The voice time-and-day stamp records the time of each call after each message. Adjustable rings allow you to decide how many times the phone will ring before it answers. Permanent flash memory protects your recorded messages even in the event of a power outage; it requires no battery backup. Call screening lets you identify callers on the base before picking up. A voice-guided system leads you through the setup and operation of the unit. A prerecorded greeting will answer calls if you choose not to record your own greeting. An audible message indicator beeps when messages are waiting (on/off switchable). Announce-only mode answers calls without taking messages.

Sony MDRRF970RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone Review

Sony MDRRF970RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had this 970RK for 2-3 years and never have the problems as many complained in the 1-star group - noisy, poor sound quality, short battery life, etc. Each is just opposit to me in a positive way.
I have been using it in a single family house (vs. apartment building) and I always connect it to the LINE OUT of a TV, not the earphone jack, so that I can just mute the TV while listening to the headphone.
It works so well for me that I am going to buy a 2nd set of the same thing so that I can always have a one fully charged waiting there when the another I am using runs out of battery (That is why I am here today).
Hope this helps to tell why the reviewers are so wide spliting here - they may use it in different ways or locations.

Sony SRFH4 Analog Tuning AM / FM Headphone Radio Review

Sony SRFH4 Analog Tuning AM / FM Headphone Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I already own the previous Sony product, the SRF-H3. That is a fine product for the money, which I use while working out.
So, when I needed another headphone radio, I decided to buy another SRF-H3, but then noticed that Sony had just updated the product as the new SRF-H4.
The new version has been improved in a number of ways:
- The larger ear pad fits more comfortably and don't move from the correct position.
- The FM tuner now does a better job of rejecting adjacent channels (much less bleed-through from other channels).
- Even with the normal setting, the H4 has much better bass than the H3, and in the Mega-Bass position, the bass response is unusually good for a product in this price range. (Not only is this important for current pop music, but it also makes jazz and classical sound more natural.) The increased low end makes the overall response less emphasized towards the high end, which also makes the inherent noise and hiss of AM & FM radio less apparent and thus less annoying. By the way, the response sounds more even with Mega-Bass turned on, indicating that the designers anticipate the product being used by most users with it switched on, and thus provide the off position as a convenience for those who find that much bass annoying.
- The mounting of the speakers directly on the ear pieces is more solid, and eliminates the possibility of the sort of breakage mentioned in customer reviews of the H3.
Note that the product is extremely inexpensive and thus one ought not to expect the sort of sound quality you might get if you spend "three figures". However, most of the inadequacies are in what is missing (instrumental tonality and detail, dynamic range, etc.) and thus the product is still pleasant to use. Also, my radio tuning needs are minimal (there are only a few stations here), and as local radio conditions vary quite a bit, it's possible that your situation might require a more expensive tuner. But then again, it might not.
I reserve 5 stars for those high-end units, but I don't see what Sony could do to further improve this product without also having to increase the price.
PS It uses one "AAA" battery (easily available) - I mention this in case Amazon has not yet corrected their information.

Sony Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter and Headphones for Ipod Review

Sony Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter and Headphones for Ipod
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've tried countless stereo (A2DP profile) Bluetooth headsets and this one stands out from all the others for several reasons. Other than being a tiny bit flimsy feeling, this headset takes the prize for just working, virtually all of the time, for the common use cases for a wireless headset: 1) Listening to music/podcasts throughout the house/office 2) taking and making calls seamlessly and untethered, and 3) as a PC/Mac headset and headphone (and yes, it works great with Skype).
Here's how the DR-BT22IK/B breaks down:
PROS:
- The included iPod/iPhone dongle to add A2DP (stereo Bluetooth profile) to the Apple device requires no battery or charging, it actually draws enough power from the device itself through the dock connection. And it does NOT increase the rate of power drain noticeably. Just one less device to charge, an incredible feature by itself. And it's tiny, the smallest A2DP transmitter I've seen.
- Works just fine with the iPhone 3G, though you'll get a message that it wasn't designed to work with it. But it does with no problems.
- Sound quality and loudness is excellent for a wireless headset. Surprisingly, the bass sounds the best I've heard on a Bluetooth headset. Trebles have the typical limitation of these headsets and sounds slightly muddy, as it does on all the others. Lesson: The tremendous potential convenience of Bluetooth is still a trade-off on sound quality.
- Can pair with up to 8 devices at a time and comes pre-paired with the A2DP dongle. Had no trouble with pairing with my iPhone as a headset (not a headphone, which requires the dongle) or my Mac.
- The working distance between the headset and device is about the best I've seen. I can put 3 walls in between myself and the iPhone and music streams fine as long as I stay within the recommended 30 feet.
- Best feature: When a call comes in on the iPhone, the music fades out automatically and a quick tap of the multi-function button on the headset switches to the Bluetooth transmitter in the phone. The call can then be conducted seamlessly through the headset. Music starts right back up on the dongle as soon as the call is over. This is priceless in terms of ease of use and convenience and shows the real promise of Bluetooth technology; you can just jump in and out of calls all day while listening to an iPod or Pandora on the iPhone with total ease.
- Controls are easy to access and are laid out nicely. They all have a nice, solid tactile feedback.
- The comfort is extremely good, can be worn for long periods of time without issue.
- Listening/talk time is very good at 11 hours, which is longer than an entire work day. I've not run out of power yet when I needed it.
CONS:
- The headset feels flimsy because of its fold-up design. However, the looseness of the hinges actually means its very comfortable and malleable on the head.
- Really needs a hard-case to protect it. Putting this in your pocket risks breaking the hinges.
- Switching to PC mode makes it hard to back to iPhone mode without repairing (which is a 5 second process).
Note: This bundle is different than the regular DR-BT22 product. Make sure you buy the DR-BT22IK/B to get the matching iPod/iPhone dongle, the pairing is what really makes the headphone shine.

Sony Headphone-Style Walkman MP3 Player (Pink) Review

Sony Headphone-Style Walkman MP3 Player (Pink)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Background: I have been looking since what seems forever for the perfect headphone/mp3 solution for the gym. I exercise mostly at the gym for strength training (use my own music) and for cardio (I use guided interval training mp3 workouts). I use cardio coach ([...]) my absolutely favorite cardio option, and itrain ([...]) which is pretty neat too.
Traits I look for in the perfect mp3 player for the gym:
- Should be light, unobtrusive and rugged. I do not want to worry about scratching, dropping or damaging the player. The player should not get in the way when I workout.
- No headphone wires. Headphone wires get in the way and sometimes I have even yanked them accidentally out of the player while working out.
- Should be easy to navigate to and find what I want to play (exact Cardio Coach Volume, or playlist for my strength training)
- Decent sound quality
I dont mind not having a whole lot of storage-capacity because I am OK with transferring music/workouts frequently to the player. About a couple of weeks worth of content is all I expect it to hold.
About the Sony W202: This is an incredible idea. A pair of great sounding wireless headphones with a 2GB mp3 player integrated right into the headphones.
Overall impressions:
- Better than jaybird gear, the previous bluetooth wireless headphones (for use with ipods or any mp3 player) I had reviewed here (http://www.amazon.com/review/R2VP6138TP6JQ6/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm). But the perfect gym mp3 solution has not yet been invented. (I used the jaybird gear headphones with an ipod nano. Wireless freedom and no need to wear the nano on my person either...it can be kept in a corner of the gym....was quite happy...I am dumping them now and switching to this Sony W202.)
How it scores over jaybird gear:
- I have come to realize that with in-ear style sport headphones (headphones that are sweat resistant, comfy and wont come out when you are active), fit has a lot to do with shape and size of the ear canal. I was lucky to get decent fit with jaybird gear. They dont work for my husband as they keep falling out when he runs. From online reviews this is what I gather too. Either they fit you or they dont. Sony has a less ear-shape dependant construction and is likely to fit more people, though it is by no means universal. It has three sizes of ear bud adaptors to provide flexibility for ear canal size.
- Sound quality is better than jaybird. Jaybird uses bluetooth - bluetooth compression affects clarity of sound. Jaybird sounds decent ( better than a lot of regular, non-bluetooth, cheaper headphones) but is not on par with higher end headphones.
The good:
- Meet the need so well on being comfortable, unobtrusive and secure-in-fit (the last being for me...your mileage may vary based on your ears). I did a 40 minute elliptical workout, a ten minute treadmill run and some core training on the stability ball and they stayed put and out of the way. I did not have to as much as touch the headphones to adjust the fit except once in the first five minutes of the workout when I fiddled for a better angle in the fit for a few seconds. They then stayed completely out of the way and secure. (For me, the fit is more comfy and secure than jaybird.)
-The controls seem difficult when you look at the player, but when you actually use them they are surprisingly easy to operate. I had no learning time. I did not fiddle. I could very easily control the player during the very first time.
- I like the Zappin feature for ease of operation. When you press the jog wheel and keep it depressed, you hear "Zappin in" and then the player scrolls through all the music on the player by playing brief snatches of each song, When you find the song you want you just press the jog wheel again and it will play sequentially from that point on. To exit "Zappin" mode all you do is press the jog wheel lightly again and you hear "Zappin Out".
- For $ 69, they are very cost effective. That is less than a high end pair of headphones and less than quite a few mp3 players as well.
- It has a optional shuffle mode if you want it to play music in random order.
- Great battery life and a 3 minute charge option for 90 minute playback.
What could have been better:
- You can use two modes to transfer music to the player. The first is with the inbuilt software called "content transfer". Content transfer works with iTunes or Windows Media player. After you install Content Transfer on your PC, you can drag and drop music from iTunes or Media player on to Content Transfer. It will analyse each track to recognize the chorus as it transfers music to the player. Then, should you use Zappin during playback of the player, it will play the most recognizable bit. Issues with Content Transfer:
a. Not eactly as easy to set up and use as itunes. OK for people who are techno-patient and dont mind reading manuals, but not as intuitive as itunes.
b. The auto-recognition of the most recognizable bit may not work very well for workouts (workouts tend to have longer mp3 tracks some of which reuse music). It works most of the time but not always for music. I could not recognize most of my workouts and a also few songs using this feature.
c. The "announce" track-name feature to overcome lack of a screen in the latest iPod shuffle is a better way to navigate a screenless player. Too bad that the Shuffle still needs wired headphones. (Except for the navigation ease, I consider W202 a better sport option than the shuffle).
- You can also simply treat the player as if it were a detachable hard-drive on your PC and manually copy songs. Whe you use "Zappin" it will then play a snatch from the 45 second mark within the track. I think this feature is better because it allows you to organize the music exactly as you want within folders on the player, unlike Content Tranfer mode that organizes its own folders on the player. However, there is no way to scroll from Folder to Folder during playback. The player will go through your music in alphabetical sorting order - by folder, and within each folder by track name. You can easily organize the music so that you put in a preceeding number (like 01., 02., 03., ...etc) before each Folder name or track name to ensure it plays in the right order. The ability to scroll not just through tracks, but also at the folder-name level whould have created the equivalent of playlists on the player and brought it pretty close to perfection in my opinion.
- There is no way to mark tracks to exclude them in shuffle mode as you can with ipod models (I can mark workouts, audiobooks and podcasts to be excluded in shuffle mode on my ipod and just listen to my music in random order). The bad:
- You can skip to the next song or the previous but you cannot forward or rewind within a track.
- The USB connecter on the player is not covered. During active use that represents an issue because sweat could get in and cause damage. The positioning of the mini-USB connector port isnt exactly where sweat is likely to reach, but still...if you work out hard, the player coud be at risk. Should you get the player?:
- Only if you are thinking of getting a new player specifically for the gym or for active use. Otehrwise get something with a screen to help navigation.
- If you already have a player or wireless bluetooth headphines, wait for the next Sony Walkman W202 version which (based on how vendors release upgraded models of popular mp3 players) should be about April 2010. I bet the player will overcome many glitches in its next avatar.
- If you buy, make sure you buy from a place that has a return policy in case the player does not work for you during the first couple of exercise sessions.

Sony SRF-H11 S2 Sports AM / FM Radio Walkman with Rear Reflector Headphones Review

I have had these headphones for about 6 months now. I use them every single day while running/walking on the treadmill and weight lifting. The sound quality is excellent, especially with mega bass on. I didn't expect the little speakers to deliver wonderful sound but I have been very pleasantly surprised. The controls can all be adjusted while on your ears after you practice finding the buttons. AM/FM reception is pretty good, not perfect but good. It has a weather tuner and the best part: a TV tuner. You can tune into a local tv program. While I'm at the gym this is magnificent. There are always several TV's showing different things and I can never hear what I want. With these babies on, I can follow the storyline! The street style headphones stay on your head even while running and aren't uncomfortable behind the ears. I'm a sweathog so the water-resistance is great! I highly recommend this little entertainer.

This headset work great. It worked fine once i got it to synchronize to my PS3 system(some trouble there but not really). However there is a game, Metal Gear Solid 4, to which I can't get this headset to work for. It works for other games though. Great buy!

Sony TL DR150EX - Headset ( ear-bud ) - white Review

Sony TL DR150EX - Headset ( ear-bud ) - white

At first this headset seemed fine.. I would say for the first 5 calls. Then after that everyone I called complained that they couldn't hear me and there was a lot of noise on the call. This was a total waste of my money. I was using this headset with a Blackberry Curve and a headset adapter was needed with the headset. I don't think it was the adapter because another headset worked fine. As far as the fit of the ear piece, that was okay, it was hard to hold it in my ear at times. The little wire that comes down to your mouth is very flimsy also. The bottom line is, I definitely wouldn't waste your time or money on this headset.
